Hope & Re-birth   5 comments

A blood curdling cry escapes her lips

As she kneels on the ground, anguish…

The path she chose, has been torn to bits

As she lays on the leaves, relinquish…

 Slowly she rises up,

 Sun’s warmth upon her cheeks

 Calmness, settles her tremors

 She lifts her head, propitious…

She stands with her head held high

And surges forward, ready to try

Again with a crawl, into a run

 Her heart is strong, dexterous.
